Project 1(a)

In this assignment, we applied some basic sketching skills. we did on-site sketching which is an essential skill in our architectural journey. Each of us produced two exteriors and two interiors sketches.
Basic rendering was expected and the drawings have to be in the right scale and proportion.
I have learned to observe the shadows as well as using different rendering techniques to make my buildings appear more lively, detailed and three-dimensional.

Project 1(b)

In this assignment, we further explored the technique
of stippling, hatching, cross-hatching and scribbling.
After finding an angle which the shadow of the object,
hourglass could cast nicely on the base surface, i took
a picture of the object and traced accordingly.

Project 2(a)

The building assigned to us was Eames House. We were expected to produce orthographic drawings with the correct scale and measurements.
I have gained knowledge in using different line weights to produce informative drawings as well as utlizing different line weights in making flat drawings to appear more 3d-like.
I had to produce detailed drawings which include sections, elevations, and plans. This was a huge step for me in experiencing architectural drawings, and i enjoyed the process.

Project 2(b)
Based on the on the orthographic drawings, we
developed exploded axonometric projection. Once again, we appreciated the importaance of line weights throughout this project 2(b).
My main focus was the materials used in constructing
this building. Hence, I have selected to explode mostly
materials used.
Through this projection, we can also have a better
understanding of the interiors.
Project 2(c)
In this final project of the semester, we were required to produce perspective drawings. i have gained insights regarding the importance of using the
right scale and proportion as well as generating three dimensional drawings according to the correct layering and depth.
The placing of visionary line plays a huge role in the perspective drawings as the line will greatly affect the way in which the object appear to us.
