Preceding from the preliminary investigations, we were required to produce a dilapidation report.

 

The main aims of this report are to:

1. Understand the state or level of building defects.

2. Determine the methods & techniques of conservation.

3. Understand work method statement.

4. Assist quantity surveyor in estimating project cost.

5. Additional item in document tender.

6. Reference for client, consultant and building contractor

 

The chosen building is a house which was constructed in 1919 which is situated along Lorong Chulan. This house is constructed during the pre-war era and was once a house to a big family.
