building CONSTRUCTION TWO.

project ONE.

The objectives of this project are as follows:

* To create an understanding of skeletal structure and its relevant structural components.

* To understand how a skeletal structure reacts under loading.

* To demonstrate a convincing understanding of how Skeletal Construction works.

* To be able to manipulate Skeletal Construction to solve an oblique Design problem.

Learning outcomes assessed in this project include:

* Apply construction system in design.

* Recognize the implication of construction systems in design.

* Analyse the issues of strength, stiffness and stability of structures including modes of structural systems, forces, stress and strain and laws of static.

FINAL PRODUCT. in this project, we used 100% recycled materials from start to completion. the cardboard is made water resistant through the application of a thin layer of wood varnish.	BASE SUPPORT. a close-up view of the support at the base. this support can withstand 100kg of load.	JOINTS a close up view of the joints used in the construction process
ROOF TILES. recycled plastic bottles are cut and used as the tiling for the roof in this project. the clever resemblance of the curvature of the plastic sheets and the roof tiles is shown through this image	ROOF.	PRESENTATION. group mate presenting to the critiques.
BASE. layering of plastic bottles ends at the base platform for water-proofing properties.	BASE PLATFORM. close-up view of the base platform.	SHELTER. before the application of wood varnish, this shelter is vulnerable to rain.
CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS. fixing of cross-bracing to strengthen the shelter.	CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS. the shelter is held together with beams at 3 parts.
